Distinguished Guests and Goodwill Ambassadors
Recent Distinguished Guest and Goodwill Ambassadors
Recently at Playa Linda Beach Resort, five loyal Aruba visitors were honored for visiting the island
for 20 consecutive years or more. The family Joe, Andrea, J.J. and Brittany Hreschak, from Monroe,
Connecticut were honored as Ambassador of Goodwill of Aruba while their children, who are 14 and 11
years old, were honored as Distinguished Visitors.
Twenty years ago, Joe and Andrea were looking into a vacation trip to Aruba or the Canary Islands.
They decided on Aruba because it was closer. So they stayed closer to home and found a home away
from home. They keep coming back because as Joe says it: "I have been to many places in the world but
only on Aruba I know the family and I are comfortable and safe."
They own a timeshare at Playa Linda and they enjoy 2 weeks a year in the lovely Aruba sun. "Twenty
years ago Aruba was quieter. There were not that many tourists and there was no main road but most
importantly there were no fast-food restaurants. But Aruba will always stay our island; we will come
here with our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. If we die we won't go to heaven,
we will go to Aruba," Andrea and Joe Hreschak say.
Together with the Hreschak family, Mrs. Mary Novak was also honored as Ambassador of Goodwill.
Mary, from New Jersey has been coming to Aruba for more than twenty years. She keeps on coming back,
especially for the friendly people of the island. For these long twenty wonderful years she has arrived
on the island with the same feeling. "It feels like I am back home, it is peaceful and the atmosphere is great.
Every year I meet old friends and make new friends and just like this ceremony it's a lovely surprise.
Playa Linda always takes good care of me, it's nice, clean and it's just like coming home in my
timeshare," Mary states.
The last five years she has been enjoying paradise six weeks a year and this year she is accompanied
by two sisters and a brother in law. Special about it, is that her sister and brother in law from
California met on Aruba. So this is a kind of reunion.
Aruba Tourism Authority liason presented the Hreschaks and Mary Novak with their respective certificates
in the presence of Playa Linda staffer Yvette Tromp.
Congratulations to the Hreschak family and Mrs. Mary Novak, enjoy your vacation and keep coming back to ARUBA!
