Lorem Ipsumis simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.

It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

A rich history as an iconic resort

More than 35 years making vacation memories

Playa Linda was built on a prime beachside spot, replacing the island's very first hotel on Palm Beach, the Basi-Ruti. Since its opening, Playa Linda has led the way in defining island comfort and ambiance as well as demonstrating a dedication to sustainable development.

80's

Playa Linda opens its doors

The resort’s highly-identifiable, many-tiered design has been a part of the island landscape for almost the entire length of Aruba’s tourism industry, and holds the distinction of being one of the island’s first timeshare options. The resort first opened its doors back in 1983.

90's

All units sold out

The success of the resort throughout the years is clearly demonstrated in its almost sold-out status year-round, almost right from the start. Many of the original owners of the resort still return each year as well as bring other family members and friends. Today, owners at the Playa Linda Beach Resort can comprise different generations of the same family group.

2000's

Full resort design is realized

All three of its construction phases were realized through the efforts of local visionary industry leaders, including developer Raymond Maduro of SUN Development, architect Dan Oduber, contractor Henk Bijen of ALBO Aruba and Rene Nieuwkerk, our first General Manager. Each played their part in contributing to the Playa Linda as it is today, distinctive for its design and remarkable for its upscale yet friendly, community atmosphere.

2010's

Addition of a new pool

The Playa Linda has maintained its high quality standards by carrying out a regular schedule of capital investments, and had undergone a full renovation at about the time of its 25th year. Plans in adding new suite options, a full upgrade of the existing rooms and a brand new fitness center continued forward with the realization of an additional pool and totally redesigned lobby by year 30.
